I have served a year on the Pacifica National Board and if I am re-elected to the LSB and it is the wish of the LSB I would be available to serve again. I have found that some continuity on the PNB is of value, so that each year the PNB is not starting from scratch. Also I have been an activist on the PNB in the areas of support for programming; the need for local participation in national programming; moving Pacifica into the 21st century where radio is being redefined before our very eyes; moving resolutions on Mumia the people of Haiti; war resister Lt. Ehren Watada; and the people of Oaxaca. I have built working relationships with PNB members in other signal areas and have a reputation for being principled and not being stuck in clicks. I was part of the process of hiring a new Executive Director for Pacifica and would want to work with her to ensure that Pacifica meets its present very serious financial and other challenges, and develops a national brand and a wider outreach and audience in all signal areas.
