"Property" (ie. radio licenses etc.) is held in the trust of "persons" or in this case a "Public Benefit Corporation". Our bylaws make the five station LSB's a subset and the sole nominating body for the Members of the Foundation. Nuff said.

For 48 years, Programmers, community Volunteers and Staff run KPFK.

The LSB will work within this classic dynamic.

Not sure. Do you mean the Foundation? I never hear about the Foundation, unless things are already a mess.

Hope to change this and work with the Foundation before things become critical.

There has to be a balance between the two. We are a holistic body one is dependent on the other. There can be autonomy within unity. KPFK is not a network on its own it has four other sister stations and we must all be accountable and supportive and not undermine each other. Indeed we are the Pacifica Network and the Pacifica network is us.

I honestly don’t yet know enough about the current dynamics to comment. I would hope to learn specifics about the extent of our autonomy once elected.
