Marian Borenstein

I am already on the Finance Committee, Programming Committee, and the Pacifica National Board’s WBAI Committee of Inclusion, and would like to continue serving on those bodies, as they are very important to our station’s future. I am quite hopeful that the General Manager Search Subcommittee on which I now serve will have accomplished its task by the beginning of the next term.

I am currently a member of the Membership, Outreach and Fundraising Committee, which has successfully held events that raised thousands of dollars for the station. I am also on the Pacifica National Archives Task Force which has stewardship over decades of on-air programming reflecting the best in our progressive history. I would like to continue working with both groups.

Lisa Davis

I am currently a member of the Pacifica National Board’s Programming Committee, Audit Committee, and Technology Committee, and am Chair of the Racism and Sexism Committee. I would like to continue serving on all of these committees. As a member of the National Programming Committee, I helped to work on passing an overall Pacifica programming policy. On the Racism and Sexism Committee, which I chair, we have proposed guidelines for a code of conduct, are examining anti-racism training programs and are working on establishing guidelines for handling complaints pertaining to racism and sexism.

For several years I have been a member of the LSB program Committee. This year I joined the Radio Committee which prepares the LSB reports to the listener. From having worked with fellow Justice & Unity members on the Membership, Outreach and Fundraising Committee, I’m well aware that this committee can be very effective when working with a cooperative management. I would also like to join the PNB Programming Committee.

James Ross

I plan to continue serving on the LSB finance committee. I would be interested in continuing on the PNB audit committee. There is a lot of work for this committee to do that we have not gotten to yet - understanding discrepancies in between the local (WBAI) and national (Pacifica) finance office reports and understanding why WBAI is spending restricted funds on operating expenses. This should not happen, but apparently it is. What controls are in place to prevent it? Why aren't they working?

I plan to join the LSB’s Membership, Outreach and Fundraising Committee, which I have already attended several times. WBAI needs more exposure among communities of color and among young people, and I will continue to help do that outreach. I am also interested in joining the PNB’s Programming Committee.
