PACIFICA FOUNDATION The National Finance Committee met regularly as a group by teleconference and minutes are available for meetings on the following dates: October 25, November 26, December 10, January 17, and January 23 (draft). The Finance Committee monitored financial activities as reported by the CFO. The major task for fiscal First Quarter 2008 was to address the issues with the WBAI budget and financial outlook. The Committee also monitored the progress of the National Office Budget and the Pacifica Radio Archives. The next regular meeting of the National Finance Committee is scheduled for February 26, 2008, at 8:30 PM EST. 2007-03-23 Finance Committee Report
PACIFICA FOUNDATION The National Finance Committee met February 15, March 1 and March 22, 2007. We met as a group by teleconference and scheduled the next meeting for Monday April 9, 2007. The Finance Committee monitored financial activities as reported by the CFO including January year-to-date financials and quarter ending headcount for the Foundation. 2006-01-17 Finance Committee Report
National Finance Committee (NFC) Report to the Pacifica National Board The NFC met on 11/17/05, 12/1/05, 12/22/05, 12/29/05, and 1/17/06. Below are a list of motions approved for consideration by the PNB, followed by a brief summary of issues the committee is presently working on. 2005-03-31 Finance Committee Report
NATIONAL FINANCE COMMITTEE Since the chair election, the National Finance Committee has met on March 11th March 18th, March 21st and March 28th. The NFC created two working groups during this time which also met and produced draft documents which were then amended by the NFC in committee and are part of this report. In the NFC's most recent meeting one motion was adopted requiring any Director making a financial information request to a specific station to notify the NFC as a courtesy so that the Treasurer of a station board is given adequate notice. The NFC also discussed the timeline for generation of the 2006 budget and strategies for budget prioritization. That timeline is included in the CFO report, but the NFC expressed some reservation about the time reserved for the NFC and the PNB to review the final proposed budget and is still working with management on this issue. 2004-12-28 Finance Committee Minutes
Pacifica National Board A special meeting via teleconference was convened at 12:40 p.m. PST by Dave Adelson with Donna Warren serving as Secretary Pro Tem. Her meeting notes were re-drafted into minutes on December 2, 2007 by Terry Goodman. No minutes were approved. Present: David Adelson, Beruti Bediako, Lonnie Hicks, Carol Spooner, Warren Turner, Donna Warren, LaVarn Williams. Also present (guest): Max Blanchet. Absent: Henry Cooper, Alice Shields, Sandy Weinman. Pursuant to the motion from Bediako approved at the December 17th committee meeting, the single agenda item for this meeting was the WBAI financial situation.
