To the Members of the Pacifica National Board. The following is a report of the activities of the PNBs Programming Committee:
- The committee met in March to elect officers; Rob Robinson was elected as Chair; in the absence of any willing nominees, Teresa Allen serves as Secretary pro tempore of the committee. (see committee meeting schedule and roster, Attachment 1, below)
- A formal meeting of the committee was called for May 22nd, due to an unforeseen conflict with the WBAI/LSB meeting, the committee failed to meet quorum requirements. (see meeting agenda, Attachment 2, below).
- An alternative meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 31.
- Professor Lawrence Lessig, Law Professor at Stanford University will address the PNB during the upcoming June meeting on licensing and digital distribution issues that can help implement aspects of the proposed Programming Policy. The committee proposes to bring a version of the Programming Policy before the PNB at the June 1 meeting, subject to changes by the current members of the Programming Committee.
